B99 style intro
B99 style intro video
Evaluation
We as a class were asked to recreate the famous Brooklyn 99 intro from scratch in groups by using many new things such as: camera work and premier pro. Post production was done by ourselves and the same with the editing.
This task went well for my very first attempt at editing and using a camera in a professional style.
My skills were somewhat newly learnt as I had never used them before but having to learn camera skills and post production editing where the main skills used.
I was challenged a lot during this task as I had never used a camera to record, nor had I used any form of editing software to edit my product.
If I were to complete the production again I would make sure the camera is in FOCUS since I had no idea it was out of focus and make sure the final poses are not too complex as it would prove even more difficult for my newly learnt post production skills.
If i were to complete the post production again I would use the many keyboard shortcuts that I have learnt to speed up the process furthermore my newly learnt editing skills could be used to refine or redo the final outcome.
My group were sort of willing to be put in front of the camera and to be recorded, so it made for some awkward moments while recording.
I feel like I worked better in smaller groups or no groups at all since I managed to do more work to a higher standard than I ever thought i could.
I really enjoyed the filming and editing part of this project as it was pretty fun to do it and I was not in front of the camera for a long time making me less embarrassed.
I could apply the masking of the characters to many creative programs like premier pro onto other ones such as: After effects, Light room, Photoshop and many more!

Framing
The rule of thirds is where it is suspected that most people look first when viewing a picture, so when you have a subject that is in one of these 4 points it will be viewed first. The reason as to why we will use this in pictures is that we can capture the attention of the viewer by putting an action or thing of interest in one of these points to show the viewer it is the main object.
Splitting the horizon is also a good technique as it places the horizon on one of the horizontal rule of thirds' lines. Central framing is helpful to show a character of importance or to show a centre of attention. It is also helpful when filming for a movie as the viewers will not have to move their eyes to see all the action, especially with fast editing. Motion and space is also utilised in the rule of thirds as it can show a prediction.
Frame in frame is simply making a frame within the photo frame. It is used to focus onto the subject.

Foreground is the layer of the photo that is generally the most important, then comes the midground then the background.

It was clear enough.
Did you run through the performances first (blocking them out, rehearsing)?
Yes we did but only for a short time.
Did you meet the brief first time around? If not, what was the feedback?
No we had to re-shoot.
Look carefully at the first three-five cuts you made. Why did you make them then?
To make sure that the person talking was in frame and to show the actions of those people.
